Icons

Platform-wide icon meanings. Every app uses the same set so pencil is always edit, trash is always delete, envelope is always private messages, and so on.

Icons are shared across the platform so the same glyph means the same action in every app. Prefer the tooltip on each control for a one-line reminder; this page is the full guide.

Header & account

Shared chrome in the top bar across apps.

Home / apps — Domain home (www) — list of apps you can open.
App home — Home page of the current app (e.g. blogs list).
Private messages — Open your PM inbox. Throbs when you have unread messages.
Color mode (light) — Cycle light / dark (and OG on ConCen). Tooltip shows the current mode.
Color mode (dark) — Same control when dark mode is active.
Color mode (OG) — ConCen classic “OG” accent mode when the brand pack is available.
Sign in — Open the login page for this app / domain SSO. (Person glyph — not the door “log-out” arrow.)
Sign out — End your session on this app (arrow leaving a door).

Edit, delete, save, cancel

These mean the same thing in comments, chat, posts, and dialogs.

Edit — Edit your own item. Comments: within 24 hours of posting. Chat: your own messages.
Delete — Delete your own item. Comments: removes the comment and any replies under it; the blog owner can also remove comments on their blog. Chat: your message is replaced by a short placeholder so the room doesn’t jump.
Save — Save the current edit draft.
Cancel / close — Discard an edit, clear a filter, or close a dialog.

Comments (blogs)

Icon-only actions on each comment. Hover or focus for a tooltip; every control has an accessible name.

Reply — Reply to this comment (when nesting still allows another level).
Hide replies — Collapse nested replies under this comment.
Show replies — Expand a collapsed reply thread.

Chat & people

Lobby and member menu (where you have access).

Read private message — Open a quick-read of unread PMs from this person (when their avatar is glowing).
Send private message — Open a PM thread with this person.
Mute (session) — Hide this person’s messages until you reload or unmute (this browser session).
Unmute (session) — Show their messages again for this session.
Mute permanently — Hide this person until you unmute; stored in your prefs when signed in.
Unmute permanently — Remove a permanent mute.
