I have been listening to (Hed) P.E. for quite a few years now, and in the early days didn't really pay very much attention to his lyrics. That was until I "woke up" and all of a sudden all the lyrics began to fit and make sense in the reality that I could see before me.

I finally got to see (Hed) P.E. live just last month, here in the UK (again, finally), such a brilliant gig. Great to have met them as well, they played a small and intimate venue, which can make a huge difference.

This interview was from the day before from We Are Change Glasgow (Scotland), and it just captures the spirit of why Jared, the lead singer, "rapper", and front-man, and why he does this.

I suggest listening to (Hed) P.E. from some really eye opening lyrics and amazing sounds, a music that really is too hard to define (Reggae, rock, punk, rap, hip-hop beats, fusion, SO many styles are touched on, quite a unique band). His lyrics have very much progressed since signing to an independent record label (5 albums strong on independent!)
