Dr. Andrew Wakefield's new documentary '1986: The Act'

Dr. Andrew Wakefield linked autism to vaccines in a controversial paper. He'll discuss vaccine ‘safety’ corruption, and the 1986 National Childhood Vaccine Injury Act, which spared vaccine manufacturers from product liability and what that means for the potential COVID-19 vaccine. Wakefield has directed a new film on the subject, 1986: The Act: https://1986theact.com/

Documentary to stream for $12.99 (I could not download it).

Did you try browser-based video downloader helper plug-ins?

YouTube downloader

No I did not, and I recently started using a really good YouTube downloader for FireFox. Unfortunately their $12.99 stream only lasts 48 hours. Not a generous business plan for their video.

Good for you...was it worth the watch with that price tag?

Well, if you use services like that and intend to download, you ought to test some and have one...I currently have something called "Video DownloadHelper" on my FireFox. I mostly only used it to rip a show from a local proprietary TV-channel and it was hard choosing between the correct one, because the streams were highly encrypted, split into segments and other various "bloatware" components. For simpler ones, it should get the job done easily. Look up extension add-on plugin reviews online or something?

To save you from paying again

To save you from paying again to try out the suggested alternatives, I'll give it a go myself over the weekend. I'll let you know how I get on. I'm sure I can do it as have a few good alternatives.

Thanks!

That would be cool. This is a new documentary by the same people that made Vaxxed 1 and 2. So it is all about vaccines. It came out last week.

Unfortunately they are not using Vimeo for streaming their video. It is their own system and is probably encrypted or what have you. I tried a few different programs - except for the FireFox plug-ins.

these plugins are surprisingly effective

i had experiences at the local library and let me say this, one can probably get a full-blown hack setup running there, even though everything is passworded on windows, that stuff doesn't even allow flash drive formats or to burn dvds never mind installing any applications or changing settings then
plus their bios was compromised you could wipe out their entire drive there, unpassworded plus you could boot up linux there
but it has to be the standard windows desktop background image otherwise they might think you are messing with the computer or something
my accounts got hacked or compromised so i sent e-mails using the printer lol, have your text or whatever, scan it and enter the address on the newer one

Screen recording

When you get videos that are really tricky to rip/download like this one, the only other option is to do a high-quality screen recording. Something I have never attempted before. But I have found documentaries that have been recorded this way. That Corey Feldman documentary was screen recorded. As long as there are no buffering issues during the process, I suppose it works out fine. I would certainly have a lot more to upload.

Screen Recording

I tried the screen recording on this, but it kept buffering, so was unsuccessful. I tried other programs I have, but none would recognise the url. I've done the screen recording previously and it works out perfectly. I guess $12.99 is not a lot to ask and would add that this movie is one of the best I have seen on the subject. Just a shame one cannot share.

How is the movie?

I’m sort of expecting it to be a little cheesey with the husband/wife thing?

TheCorsair00
Film

Unfortunately I either had the documentary on too many devices, since I tried it on my PC tower and laptop, or I waited a little bit too long and the stream URL expired - so I never got a chance to watch it all. I did see a part of it and it basically seemed like another Vaxxed sequel. I saw their bus and people signing it and more stories about people who have suffered from vaccines.

I noticed this documentary was also requested on a popular private movie tracker, so I reckon it will pop up sooner or later. Thanks Jewels for trying as well.

Here's another one...

For future reference - how to rip

Many difficult sites can be ripped using Firefox developer tools.

You open developer tools and go to Network, Media.

When you hit play you’ll see the move files being downloaded.

You can save them all as a HAR archive.

I had to write my own software to save them out of the har archive - it’s uuencoded entries in a JSON structure. I can do this part if someone can send me an archive.

Sadly

Sadly there are a few sites this doesn’t work on, where the movie is encrypted to the player. Channel 4 is one I think, or is it ITV.

crystalfarm45
Is it just me, or did anyone else notice how funny this looks?

Jewels
For future reference - how to rip

Managed to get as far as transferring the files. Çan't see how to save them though. Also could not locate files on my hard drive. I'm okay doing something similar on Safari with my Mac, but have only downloaded audio files this way. Any suggestions? This is becoming more of a challenge than anything else !

hey

I PM you
