It seemed so perfect, so scientific - a hair test that could objectively determine whether parents of young children were abusing drugs or alcohol. But it turns out the 'Motherisk' hair testing was flawed, and improperly administered all across Canada over twenty years.

The results were devastating. Families broken up, children seized and irrevocably adopted out. The Fifth Estate tracked down parents who share stories for the first time on Tainted Tests: Broken Families. Mark Kelley reports. A joint investigation with the Toronto Star and CBC Radio’s The Current.

... and the results were entered into the court record as final, indisputable and irreversible. The result: for twenty years the government forced the breakup of hundreds, possibly thousands of families based on lies. The children were placed in foster care, a notoriously abusive system that forces powerful medication on children just to keep them docile as they are shuffled from "home" to "home", usually several times a year. In some cases the falsely accused parent was convicted and jailed for child abuse.

Why isn't this front page news? Did it have something to do with the scumbag at the centre of this clusterfuck, David Koren, who had no forensic training (nor did any of the others at Motherisk)? Koren claimed he had no idea that the tests were used as evidence in court, despite the fact that people in his lab routinely took the stand in cases.

Notice how despite ample evidence of his criminally negligent behavior over a more than twenty year period, there is no mention of it on his wikipedia page, but there is a long list of awards he has received. Why is that?
