NSA & Domestic Surveillance: 3 interviews

Dear members.

I have finally decided to release archived interviews from my personal collection that were done for different journalistic assignments during last 20 years and more.

If you will be interested here is the first interview of three that deals with issues of NSA & Domestic Surveillance.
In part 1 of 3 I talked with Mark Klein; author of the book: "Wiring Up The Big Brother Machine...And Fighting It".

Hope you will find it interesting. Here is the link of the interview:

Remaining 2 interviews on this subjects (yeah it is a trilogy) will follow in the next few weeks.
Best wishes.

Part 2

In the 2nd part of the NSA trilogy, I am talking with NSA whistleblower William Binney. He is a former NSA official who resigned from his position in 2001. While he was working for the agency, he was one of the developers of a system called ‘ThinThread' which was designed to collect “actionable intelligence” with privacy protection. However, instead of ThinThread, the NSA decided to develop multi-billion dollar system called Trailblazer that never became operational.

Today Binney is known as an outspoken critic of NSA data collection policies.

Part 3

And here is the concluding part of the NSA trilogy.

Thomas Drake - NSA & Domestic Surveillance - part 3
Link of the interivew:

Mr. Drake is a former senior executive of the NSA and decorated USAF veteran. We discussed SIGINT procedures and development of the system ThinThread which was designed to collect intelligence and preserve privacy. However, NSA decided to invest into multi-billion program Trailblazer that never became operational.

In 2010 Drake was indicted by the Government under the Espionage Act. Mr. Drake will describe the whole procedure and the final outcome.
