The Future of Tucker Carlson Tonight (TCT) on ConCen

If you think the program should not be on ConCen, please let us know why.

If you are a regular downloader, the following information may interest you. I would also like your feedback on what I'm proposing.

In early September 2018 I wrote a script that automatically downloaded TCT from the Fox News web site and uploaded it to ConCen. At this point I have created an online TCT archive dating back to 2018.09.03. That's over 1100 editions! This is IMO a valuable resource. What do you think? Is the increasing monthly expense to keep it going worth it?

Over the years the Fox web devs put up more and more barriers to grabbing it, but up until a couple of months ago, I managed to bypass them all.

The Fox web stream of TCT is commercial free, but sometimes they cut out parts for legal reasons, which of course are the best bits to capture! For this reason, and a redesign of a few things on the back end which made it harder to capture a web stream, I decided to get it myself using IPTV.*

I haven't had much luck automating the process of editing out commercials from the broadcast stream, so that part is done manually. News programs like this are best when as fresh as possible. Because sometimes I'm busy at 21:00 EDT when TCT finishes, what I'm proposing to do is upload the raw, unedited capture as soon as it's over, then an edited version as soon as I can. Then I can upload a 3rd version encoded in x265. All told, this is a fair amount of work, which I won't bother doing unless you guys really want me to.

If I uploaded 3 versions of TCT, which would you prefer to download?

  1. Fresh, unedited, uploaded automaticallly @ 2100hrs EDT [~840MB MP4 ]
  2. Commercial free, uploaded usually that night but sometimes a day or two later [~520MB, MP4]
  3. Commercial free, uploaded usually that night but sometimes a day or two later [~230MB, x265 MKV]
  4. None of them, you repugnant globalist bootlicker!!

Or is this whole exercise a complete waste of time, in your opinion?

*If you use IPTV, it would be great if you could share your experiences.

globalist bootlicker

I'm afraid I am a bit of a 'None of them, you repugnant globalist bootlicker!!' when it comes to this particular daily upload. I do sometimes see Tucker on YouTube, but I don't really follow him closely. But I do know that users like lordnose and many others would probably appreciate your efforts in doing edits and uploads. Particularly the 3rd option: Commercial free, uploaded usually that night but sometimes a day or two later [~230MB, x265 MKV]

Now that you mention it, I think I have seen banners for IPTV on IPTorrents. But I never really knew what it was...

Great job

Your doing a great job .In Ireland its the only way i can see it.

TCT

I am an avid Fan and I download all versions for each new episode. I have the entire Library you have posted, believe it or not. I also am a member of FoxNaion and I really wish somebody would do the same for Sean Hannity and Laura Ingram's shows. Also while I am at it, Greg Gutfield and Dan Bongino would be great also. I Sincerely thank you for all you have done in the past and continue to do daily. It is content not found elsewhere and a real joy to me and others I share with. A Big Thumbs Up. If you ever get to the point of donations, let me know. Thanx.

I don't download them, but there is clearly some demand for them.

Given that the simplest solution will tend to be the most sustainable one, I recommend the first option and you will then have one less thing to worry about during your day.

Now, where can I find those boots you want me to lick? I am looking, but don't see them anywhere...?

zoopenhoff
It will always be a thankless task.

Here's the thing, I get it, it's a task of some importance.

But it will never be appreciated, because you're taking responsibility for other people, who lack integrity.

Where is the archive from Fox/Tucker himself, free to watch online, accessible around the world, and with a commitment to never self-censor or withdraw inconvenient segments?

I would say, automate it as much as you can, and shrink it even to 480p and consider vp9 or av1 at a lower quality, even instead of x265.

Perhaps it would have a place as part of an open web archive - think big, and then think bigger. We should be holding the mainstream media to account, and they won't do it themselves. A combined effort to archive news broadcasts, with signed/certified records on a public blockchain, might be the way to go and could probably even get funding, general support.

zoopenhoff
btw

one day
a few years from now
someone you've never met
will be looking for a copy of a specific Tucker Carlson
they'll figure out the date
and be able to find it thanks to you.

And you'll never know.

You don't deserve to be called a repugnant globalist bootlicker, but TCT is definitely not of interest to me.
It seems it is important to some people here, so make it easy on yourself and offer it with advertising and let those interested edit it themselves. Editing is a pain, especially day after day.
You're doing enough without that drag on your time.
BTW, have you been PAYING for that?!?

He is clearly a propagandists

He is clearly a propagandist/fearmonger/globalist/character actor that got his start on CNN and was shut down after it was shown that all he does is intentionally fan flames for the moronic masses to eat up, which is exactly the kind of thing fox loves to promote: and pretty much the polar opposite of what this site used to be about. /fuckCNNToo

Option 4, but I won't call

Option 4, but I won't call you globalist bootlicker.

Several years ago I wrote that Concen lost its quality - when I open tracker I see only Tucker Carlson. Concen became archive for that show. I would like if you stop uploading his content so fans of conspiracies can focus on other interesting topics. Documentaries of low profile directors and books are the best.

WhatTheBit
I understand people not

I understand people not liking something on ConCen. I personally have zero interest in al the UFO stuff. But I still think it should exist for those who are fans!

So with regards to Tucker, I don't mind a raw copy of the show. I can always fast forward through the ads.

And while x265 is nice to save on bandwidth, most of America should have silly fast bandwidth, no?

I usually wake up and start downloading TCT before I make coffee. By the time I'm done, it's done, and I watch over breakfast.

so, what did you decide about this? will you just automatically upload 3 versions everyday? and if so, why? did anybody vote for that option?

lol!
well, I just couldn't see why/what was the point of asking if no follow-up.
it is fine for some site on the internet to be the official tucker carlson 'go to' for torrents, maybe that niche is needed, but on slow days when nobody is busy the tracker will just be filled up with all tucker episodes, particularly at a rate of 3 per day
I'm trying to find a more spiritual place to frequent. i learned many things from members here, but enlightenment is not one of them!

zoopenhoff
Batches.

Why not upload the raw version as soon as it's available.

Then, for the archives, put out the edited x265 one month at a time.

Also, it's always interesting to have an archive of ads. Save yourself the editing time and leave them in.

zoopenhoff
maybe vp9 or av1?

Is there something better than x265 yet?

WhatTheBit
All I could find is this.

All I could find is this.

https://nofilmschool.com/three-new-codecs-are-coming

Considering most Americans have access to at least 50 Mbps, x265 is more than enough.

But hey, I was saying the same thing about mp4 back when DVD rips were 700 MB :-P

zoopenhoff
Storage tho

In this case we’re talking about saving money on disks.

kattanablade
i really appreciate what u do

otherwise i couldnt watch these shows. ill take whatever format you upload. what are the chances of the tc originals. id love to see some of those.

thanks again.

Anybody have any more

Anybody have any more thoughts on this? lol

I love the compact version whenever it shows up. I may be politically naive, but Tucker keeps me apprised of what may be going on behind the curtain. He makes me chuckle. My opinion: keep up the good work. I don't know if Tucker is revealing absolute political truths, but his words and his manner of delivery delight my simple mind.
